Mountain Route, Stage 7: Travel Guide Remata - Banská Bystrica

Another scenic but demanding stage today. The first mountain pass awaits you right after leaving Remata. After riding through Sklené village and crossing the main road, begin a 22-km long ascent to Kremnické mountains.

Refresh yourself at Skalka resort and head up to the Bystricke mountain pass (1218 metres above sea level). From here, it is just way down to Banská Bystrica. Long and joyful ride to your final destination!

Allow yourself at least a couple of hours or even a night in Banská Bystrica. It has a charming old town and plenty of museums to visit, the most significant being the WWII museum of the Slovak National Uprising. But climbing up to the city tower and city castle is well worth as well!
